Pneumatically Operated Clutch/Brake Units
These combined clutch/brake units comprise a pneumatically operated single-disc clutch and a spring-loaded, single-disc brake. They are especially suitable for non-cutting machines, such as presses, punching machines, shears, rolling mills, etc., but also for other machines of various types.

The units enable inertia loads to be accelerated and decelerated repeatedly with highly consistent operating times. There is no drag torque.
Since the piston is against the springs, the action of engaging the clutch simultaneously releases the brake. When the cylinders are vented, the clutch disengages and at the same time the springs force the brake disk against the brake body. Thus, braking is automatic when the clutch is disengaged or the pressure drops due to a leak.
